Aim & Scope

Eunomia – Sustainable Development is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed biannual academic journal whose aim is to disseminate research results and in-depth scholarly reflection on the idea of sustainable development in both theoretical and practical perspectives. The journal serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas among academic staff, doctoral candidates, and students interested in contemporary challenges of social, economic, cultural, and technological development in the context of responsibility towards the natural environment and future generations.

The objectives of the journal are to:

  • support the development of interdisciplinary research on sustainable development,

  • integrate perspectives from technical sciences, humanities, and social sciences,

  • promote good practices, innovative solutions, and critical analyses of contemporary civilizational processes,

  • popularize the idea of open science through free and open access to published content (Open Access).

The thematic scope of the journal includes in particular:

  • issues of sustainable development in technical sciences (including engineering, environmentally friendly technologies, and innovations),

  • social, economic, and legal problems related to sustainable development,

  • philosophical, ethical, and humanistic reflection on the relationship between humans, society, and the environment,

  • research in cultural studies and literary studies addressing the ideas of responsibility, justice, and social order,

  • international and comparative analyses,

  • student papers presenting research results, projects, and analyses aligned with the journal’s thematic focus.

The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, opinion papers, communications, technical notes, and special issues in Polish and English. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process in accordance with the standards of international organizations supporting open access to knowledge, including DOAJ and OASPA.
