New issue of Eunomia – Rozwój Zrównoważony – Sustainable Development No. 1(111)/2026
Dear Readers,
We are pleased to announce the publication of the latest issue of “Eunomia – Sustainable Development” (No. 1(111)/2026), published by the University of Applied Sciences in Racibórz.
The first part of the issue contains articles devoted to communication and media studies, mechanical engineering, and aerospace engineering. The subsequent sections feature papers addressing issues related to security studies, sociology, history, and education. As in previous editions, the journal also includes articles written in foreign languages, focusing on broadly understood social sciences.
The authors of the current issue include both academic staff of the University of Applied Sciences in Racibórz and representatives of other higher education institutions. Among those whose articles have been published are:
- Dr. Damian Kurzydym (Institute of Technology),
- Dr. Monika Porwoł (Institute of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies),
- Dr. Zbigniew Wieczorek (Institute of Educational Studies),
as well as:
- PhDr. Karin Fodorová,
- Martyna Florkiewicz,
- Maciej Kołakowski,
- Piotr Palmąka,
- Konrad Tułodziecki.
Special recognition is also due to the students of the University of Applied Sciences in Racibórz whose articles have been published in this issue:
- Sławomir Pazderyn – Civil Protective Structures as an Element of National Security: The Current State in Selected European Countries and in Poland;
- Oliwia Soprych, Monika Porwoł – A Guide to Translating Humor in Video Games: A Case Study of Undertale.
Eunomia is not only a platform for scholarly articles but also for book reviews. In the current issue, we particularly recommend the review entitled Brought Down to Earth by Dr. Joanna Kapica-Curzytek, discussing the book A City on Mars: Can We Settle Space, Should We Settle Space, and Have We Really Thought This Through? by Kelly and Zach Weinersmith. As the reviewer notes:
“The authors assess the chances of Homo sapiens becoming an interplanetary species. Is a new beginning for humanity on another planet, such as Mars, possible, and if so, how likely is it?”
The issue also includes a review by Beata Oelszlaeger-Kosturek of Gabriela Kapica’s monograph Children’s Enigmatics in the Process of Supporting Creative Language Abilities of Younger Pupils, published by the Publishing House of the University of Applied Sciences in Racibórz in 2024.
As we present another issue of our semi-annual journal, we wish you an inspiring and rewarding reading experience. We also encourage you to explore the archival issues available on the journal’s website:
