An analysis of pedagogy as such and its place in science, and above all its role in terms of its impact on social life, should be started by examining the definition of the concept and its surroundings. It is also important to understand the essence of pedagogy and its synonymous concepts, to trace the historical outline of the development of Polish pedagogy. Specific socio-political changes, as well as generational ones, generated various types of typologies, hence it seems that it is necessary to recall several combinations or groups in which various trends, currents, directions or departments
occurring in the discipline of pedagogy will be categorized or classified as an introduction to further research.
