ANALYSIS OF THE MAIN TELEVISION NEWS BROADCASTS FROM 11 NOVEMBER 2025

The aim of this article is to conduct a comparative analysis of the coverage of
the main news programs of five television stations (Polsat, TVN, TV Republika, TVP,
and Trwam) on November 11, 2025. The study examined how the media reported on the
107th anniversary of independence, what content they emphasized, and what they
omitted. Based on mass communication theory and the concept of agenda setting, it was
shown that the media in Poland not only inform, but also shape the meanings and
emotions associated with patriotism. The analysis points to the perpetuation of existing
political divisions and different ways of interpreting the concept of „independence”.
