Abstract

This article compares media coverage of the 44th anniversary of the
imposition of martial law in the main news broadcasts of five television stations: TVP,
TVN, Polsat, TV Trwam, and TV Republika. Attention is paid to the selection of topics,
the tone of the narrative, the presence of public commentary, and the emotional tone of
the coverage. The analysis demonstrates the diversity of editorial approaches and the
media's influence on the reception of historical events.
